Short Synopsis: Dark Minds For Dark Times: The Movie (by Max Wells and Daniel Smith)
Trainspotting meets Time Cop in a battle for the future in Steel City UK with a killer original soundtrack...
Jessica is a passionate charity collector for the World Wildlife League, determined to save the planet one direct debit at a time. Tolly is the charming, directionless young man who falls for her, and who happens to be the son of Sheffield’s a powerful crime boss, the Chairman.
But their growing connection is not just a love story. In 2377, the outlawed Foundation for Private Wealth sends ruthless time-travelling assassin Talinn back to the present to eliminate them both. Why? Because Jessica and Tolly are destined to found the Future Party, an environmental political movement that will threaten corporate power for generations.
Recruiting Pete, a small-time drug dealer with a grudge, Talinn hunts the couple through Sheffield. Meanwhile, a time cop named Benedict warns the Chairman of the coming danger, forcing him to use every weapon in his arsenal to protect his son and Jessica. The chase ends in a brutal showdown at the Peak District’s “edge of the world.”
As gunfire echoes across the rocks, old lives are shed, and Jessica and Tolly discover that their future together is worth fighting for, for each other, and for the world they are determined to save.
